craft party
Deer hunting season in Utah is a big thing every year. This year the girls decided to get together and do something while all the men were going hunting. Both of these crafts were fun and didn't break the budget. For the Christmas countdown it was made on a cookie sheet from the dollar store. The back was cover in cute Christmas paper. Then you cut squares of Christmas paper and attach a magnet on the back. We had some of the Christmas embellishments already but got some from Hobby Lobby and Big Lots. Big Lots has a craft section that has lots of odds and ends for cheap. It takes a while but it was lots of fun. The Halloween craft was done by the kids. I found these at Pebbles in my Pocket in Orem. This is a great scrapbook store that has everything you can think of. They were in packs of 6-10 of these pre-cut characters. The only thing you need to do was glue it together! They ranged from 3.99-6.99. They also had pumpkins and bats. At the party we ate Mexican food and ate lots of sweets! Carmel apples with lots of toppings. I think we had a better time then the boys!

Halloween Spooky Dinner
Halloween is such a fun holiday but it can get expensive I found all the decor at the dollar store and at a second hand(or donation)store called DI. The candle holder is a wonderful haunted piece that it you look you can find at Goodwill or Salvation Army. The cups, plates, some of the serving plates, skulls and candy were all from dollar tree. The food was where the money went but it wasn't that bad. For a party for 15 people it cost be $52 dollars which included; mummy dogs, punch, puddling cups, candy, beef ribs, meatball monsters, mini pizzas, spider rolls, cupcakes, and veg tray. And the best part was I was using a black plastic table cloth (97 cents at walmart) and after we were done eating we moved the plates and carved pumpkins which was a super easy clean up!
Oh and the punch! It was made with rainbow ice cream, orange juice, ginger ale and fruit punch. The creepy red hand was water with red food coloring put into a rubber glove and frozen! Just cut off the glove and drop in the punch!

Ocean Party!
This party was really fun to do! The cake is a fish, a simple cake mix and round cake pan. Add some candy and your golden. Turtle cupcakes were a hit. I made jellyfish from a pack of dollar store bowls and ribbon and hung them from the ceiling. The balloons gave the "under water" effect. The labels for the drinks were pretty easy also. Just a cricket machine and some paper(The birthday boy's name started with a B). The other serving table decorations were one of the best inexpensive ideas I got. I bought some small vases and glass bowls turned the sideways and put eyes and tissue paper in them to make them fish. Cute! The glass was a dollar a piece and it only took one sheet of tissue paper to fill. I bought a package of eyes for a dollar. It was a great party and it was probably the most bought friendly so far!
