Dots!

I wish I had pictures from this Bridal shower but I don't. I have some of the stuff so here it is! I was a Walmart trying to figure out a theme for my cousin's bridal shower and came across this fabric. It was so cute I had to use it! I got the brown and teal, and the teal and brown. These were the center squares for the tables. We did a layered look to give the table some dimension. I wish I had the final product pictures! The napkins we found at party city for 1.50 a pack and they had matching plates for 2.50 a pack. I tied it with a ribbon to give it a fancy look. It really turned out great

Cute Gift Idea

I was out the other day and felt like I had to get a gift friend. So I tried to think of something cute to give. I finally found something that was nice and not expensive. So here it is. A dozen mini red-velvet cupcakes from Walmart (2.50)on a metal "silver plate"(1 dollar) at dollar tree. Wrap it in some cellophane and tie it with a ribbon. It ended up not breaking the bank and tasting great. It made that persons day and they knew I was thinking of them with a nice gift.

bridal shower bliss!

This is an bridal shower for a while ago. Sometimes simple is best! We found these pink and white dot envelopes and they were so cute it ended up being the color theme of the party. During spring and summer you can get great deals on flowers. For the tables we had pink potted plants with a ribbon but the small flower pots were table decorations and at the end of the party they took them home as their party gift. The silver mini pots were found at Ikea for 50 cents a pot. I wish I had taken more pictures but it was a prefect set up for a spring bridal shower!

Tinkerbell Party!

Before Minnie Mouse, Tinkerbell was the favorite. The Tinkerbell party was a fun idea to do. I don't have all the details of the party in pictures but I did my best. We went with a "Tinkerbell's forest" kind of look. My great accomplishment was the tree. It was made out of plastic dollar table cloths and streamers. Throughout the tree there were little battery operated blinking Tinkerbell (also found at the dollar store). We also got green plastic table cloths and green buckets. They had purple flower lays and white flowers (dollar store) with more blinking tinkerbells/tinkerbell's friends. We kept with the purple and green because those are the traditional Tinkerbell colors. We did use Tinkerbell plates for the cake. To make it more colorful we got basic green and purple balloons. Tinkerbell was my favorite character so I am guilty of living my dream birthday through my daughter!

They had star command training games, such as running, courses to jump and run. They then made their own star belts (just like buzz!)dollar store foam pieces and basic fabric. The cake was buzz lightyear and the cupcakes were the little green aliens. At the end they all graduated from star command! They got diplomas and got a buzz or woody t-shirt which were on sale that week for a dollar a piece. The party turned out great!
